2009 Lungta Easay Competition

2009 Lungta Easay Competition: Every year Tesi Environmental Awareness Movement (TEAM) in partnership with Lungta Centro in Swizterland organises an essay competition on environmental issues in the Tibetan schools in exile. This year the essay contest was held in Sherab Gatsel School in Kanyara, Dharamsala, on the topic of Air Pollution.

The best four essays were awarded on World Environment Day with cash prizes of Rs. 2000, Rs. 1500, Rs. 1000 and Rs.500 for the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively. The winners are Jigme Gyatso (1st), Tsering Tashi (2nd), Sanggyal Bum (3rd) and Ngawang Kunkyen (4th). The essays can be read here, here, here and here.
