Current Projects
- To inspire monks and nuns in realizing their ecological roots and mobilizing the monastic community in conservation and environmental education work through Tibetan Engaged Buddhist Clubs.
- To promote environmental awareness among school children by providing activity-based educational materials to teachers and providing support to young environmental leaders in creation and sustenance of environmental clubs.
- To encourage organic farming by providing continued awareness amongst farmers and facilitating platforms where they can directly exchange their concerns with government representatives in prompting the Tibetan organic revolution.
- To curtail Tibetan people's involvement in the trade of endangered species products, particularly skins of Tiger, Leopard, Otters and Ivory beads, through active awareness building about the plight of these animals and the non-monetary values of biodiversity.
- To develop educational materials such as Tibetan translation of classic environmental resources; teaching aids for teachers; a Tibetan language glossary of scientific and Tibetan environmental concepts; campaign posters; audio-visual documents and brochures.
